Question for The Sims FreePlay

I built a new house and would like to move in an existing Sim, not a new one. How do I do this? Thanks.

If it's a new house that has just completed construction, you have to add a new Sim to finish and enter the house. What you could do is add that Sim, and then have him "Leave town" from the Create-A-Sim menu, leaving you free to move in your Sim of choice.

If you were to do that, the house would then be vacant. First make sure that the Sim you'd like to move in is unoccupied. Then, from The Town Map, click the vacant house. The first two icons are choices to "View" or "Demolish" the house, but if you scroll to the right you'll see your Sim's faces. Scroll to the one you'd like to move into the house, and for 5000 Simoleans, you may do so.

I think the better solution would be to create the new Sim with the house, then have the Sim you really want to live there become friends. Have the Sim you'd like to move in visit the resident Sim and ask him to "Move In". Make sure you have the right Sim ask the question, because they move into whichever residence the requesting Sim lives.

The other consideration though, is the name. If your Sim of choice moves in, it saves you the 5000 Simoleans, but he assumes the last name of the resident Sim. If you want him to keep the same last name, you could always give the new Sim the same last name. That would keep the name, save the Simoleans, and have your Sim of choice living in your new home.

Hope that helps!
