Maybe your whole device has. Are you using an iPad? I am and I once turned on the mute button by accident (the black button beside the volume button) and lost all sound in a game, I thought it was something wrong with the game. 
Anyway maybe that's what's wrong check and see.

Hi guys!! I play Sims Freeplay on an Ipad Air2. My sounds are missing from the game, not all of them but sounds like the breeze from the island map, the waves from the beach, the sounds from the music in the drumkit, Guitar, etc. What is wrong? I don't have the mute button on.. Does anyone have this problem? My game settings are just fine..

This has happened to me as well and I’m not sure if this will work for you but it should do! So basically you know that mute button thing next to the Blume controls and the top and you can either slide it right or left try doing that a few times on the game and it should work
