Yeah I look on here and tried it it works. So you have to have toddlers delete parents and the new mother can be single make them acquaintances then friends or good friends or best friends. Then you be the Adult and click "Ask to Adopt" the toddler will accept it wil say blank adopted blank. So that's how you do it

I had one couple whom I deleted after they had their child. After that, I made the toddler "good friends" with another Sim who was married. The "ask to adopt" action came up.

To adopt a child you have to move the parents from the town (get rid of) and put your toddler into another home and the toddler has to bacons best friends with the parents you want your toddler to be with and the "ask to adopt" will show up

Actually, you can adopt babies for free:
If you first have two married Sims have a baby, then have them move out of town, the baby will be orphaned. Once you've done that have the sim you that want to adopt the baby level up their relationship with the baby to 'Good Friends' after that the option 'Adopt' will come up.

If you move the parent(s) out of the town, the child(or Children) will be left at their house without a guardian until they are adopted by one of the other Sims in your town via commanding them to do so. After you move the parents out of the house the child can be adopted by any Adult as long as the child is "Good Friends" with said adult. I have used this method several times with one child already, and I have learned that this method works regardless of the child's Age. If you don't want to move the parents out of the town to do this then you will have to make the child's parent sims take care of the child until they are a teen sim, and after that the child can move in with any adult sim that they are "good friends" with.

When you have done the first Birthday Quest it should work just celebrate the babies birthday get the other family to use the phone and adopt should come up (I'm not sure fully but it's what I've heard)

Make sure that the baby is healthy and they can be adopted . If they are kids , they should have a girlfriend .
