Hi, I was just wondering,... Would the dog in the freeplay would actually use it's dog house if I buy him one ?

No. The doghouse is just a decoration. All the dog does is walk around and dig, it doesn't sleep and only occasionally goes inside the Sim's house, but that's usually just a glitch.

Several of my dogs use the dog house. You can call them over and they will go in and lay down. I've even found several of them in the dog house on their own. My dogs are in and out of the Sims house all the time. I do not think it is a glitch.
