If you have 3 kids and want more you must delete parents of a child and then make the one you want to have a child be good friends with the kid and press the adopt button. Smile

Try buying a bigger house. Smile

I have 5 sims that moved in together. When I tried to add a 6th, it wouldn't let me. I believe 5 is the limit.

I do have the mansion, I added rooms before relocating the family, but needed to add 2 more sims to the house, and it won't let me..
Guest said: 16th Mar 2015 | REPORT
Alls you have to do is call your sims there and continue inspiring them it will be like they live there because they won't leave unless the motives are too low.
Guest said: 28th May 2015 | REPORT
Get enough beds for everyone then make everyone who you want to move in best friends a and then move them in

How can ten people live in a house?! You can only have four! But there is another way to get 5 or 6 people in the house.

Is the mansion worth getting. Or should I just add extra rooms to the house I have already and save the money I would use on a mansion?
Guest answered:

I have the mansion and have a total of 5 bedrooms, it still will not allow me to move in a 5 th persons. I am married with 3 Children .. Plenty of room. What is the deal?

Hi guys, I have a family of 5. I started with the house at the very start of the game. After i expanded, it has the master bedroom and 2 bedrooms for the kids, because I only initially planned in just having 2 kids. I started of with one baby. Then when I added another crib, the strork brought in twins. I was at Level 10 in this stage and was allowed to have 2 more sims because I recently 'deleted' one of my other sims. I'm not sure how that works, but I have twins, a total of 3 babies plus the mum and dad.

So the Sims 4 can stay up 8 and more ppl in 1 house
Guest said: 5th Jan 2015 | REPORT
Say you had 2 adults 2 kids, and the kids each have
a seperate room, (both big) it would probabally help
if they shared a small (or large) room, because then
you could rejig a bit and change the larger room into a kitchen
and smaller into a bedroom, just suggesting
Guest said: 23rd Feb 2015 | REPORT
Yeah but it won't work that way

I have the two story mansion and I am hoping to have a married couple and 4 four or five Children as it is actually now a 3 story mansion so I think that as it came with so many bedrooms lots of people can live there so I'm guessing it's the house size that matters Smile xxxxx

How do you get the 2 story mansion? Is it in the premium residence? I've seen ones for around $27000 & ones for around $49000?
Guest said: 13th Feb 2014 | REPORT
The two story mansion casts 750,000 simloins it's a lot but if you buy smaller houses and then sell everything in them and keep doing it you should have enough money to buy it .
Guest answered:

I think that you will have to make a teenage sim move out. Then you can add anouther sim to the home. I also had the same problem, I have two kids and to Adult Sims and wanted to move one of there best friends but it said that you can only have 4 sims or the place would be to crowded. Hopefully this helped, 😀

I have a huge mansion with 4 bed rooms in it and I have 2 adults in one bedroom and 2 kids in different bedrooms how come if there is one bedroom left it won't let me have a baby
Guest answered:

I think that expanding the house doesn't work and even the premium residence doesn't work I think you can only have 4 people living in a house at once BUT if you move a teenage sim to it's own house you can have another baby!!! Xxx Smile

Guest answered:

Yes I am also having this problem. I have a two-storey house on a premium lot with lots of rooms that I built from scratch and there is a married couple living there with a teen and a preteen. I would like to add two more babies however it says it is "too crowded". I don't get how people have more than 4 people in one house because it will not work for me! I think it must be a glitch or maybe based on levels? I am level 28. Anyway if anyone knows HOW to do it then please give a clear answer; other than that I think it's impossible.

I actually have 10 people in one house. They don't all live there but it's easier if I have them all under one roof in order to take care of them. I tried to invite another sim over and it says it's too crowded. Should I try adding on or just send one of them to work early?
Guest answered:

10 under one roof in standard

Guest answered:

Living in a house (everyone has the same last name) and having 10 people visiting a house are 2 different things. A lot of people are misunderstanding that. Just because you have multiple people staying in rooms doesn't make them part if your family. Also whoever actually lives in a household (has same last name) will get more money & more points by doing actions in their own home. Anyways, I have a three story mansion with 20+ rooms & still can't add anymore Sims to actually live with me (the game says too crowded when trying to adopt or add a third child). The game will only allow four people in one family in one house at a time regardless of the size of the house or level (thus far, I'm on level 32). But until something Changes, I suppose just have people over.

Ugh omg that sucks i just found the same problem because I already invested so much time and $ to build a two story family house from an empty lot! I even built a pool and everything. I built a master room, bedroom for a girl, a bedroom that fits 2 boys, nd a guest room.... I have the parents,a daughter, nd da grandpa living there (cuz his wife died) but even if the grandpa dies or moves out i can still only have one other so....wow this sucks, they should fix if

I have one family with five kids but it was complicated to get lol and the don't all officially live in the one house. I had a married couple have two kids then they got divorced he went to a new house then I got her married to another sim and she moved in there but the kids stayed in the original house for some reason so then she had a kid with new husband, divorced him, remarried her original husband and moved into his new house and had two more kids, I just have them all stay in the original house and they all have the same last name except the one kid from the other marriage. It's frustrating that you have to go through all that just to have more then two kids.

I have the three story mansion but it wont let me get a 5th sim and I want 6

Guest answered:

I do know how to let six Sims to LIVE in a same house, same last name of course.

Just make six of 'em be good friends or partner, let 3 of your Sims who currently live in the same house invite the other 3 to move in simultaneously. (Little tip, if you have four sims originally live in a house, you might need to remove one of it out first and so far I had only tested on Adult sim)

You can move the Sims simultaneously by inviting three of the sims come to the house you want them to be in, then click "ask to move in". Before any of them agree to move in (before 6 seconds ended), select another sim and "ask to move in" (before 6 seconds ended too), then select the third one and "ask to move in". Act fast or else it wont work. (Little Tips, try to put some distance between sims so that you can get more than 6 seconds)

Hope my explanation is clear enough.;)

You can only have four people in one household if you need six you would have to use a cheat.

I actually have 7 Sims all living in one house, all with the last surname. I want an 8th but it says it's too crowded. I didn't use any Cheats at all. I just made the 'owner' of the house become good friends with each of them and then ask to move in.

I have the beach mansion and I'm doing the Disney princess challange. I wasn't sure how many people could fit in the house cause in total I need at least 9 rooms. I already have twins, Mickey and Minnie, I don't know how this helps but yeah... 😂👌🏼
Guest answered:

My daughter's town is level 31 and she can only have 4 Sims living together. My town is level 39 and I can have 5. So somewhere between levels 31 and 39, you can add a 5th Sim to a residence. It doesn't have anything to do with the size of the house or how many rooms there are. It doesn't even matter if the lot is a premium one. I have 5 Sims living in a house on a regular lot that isn't even finished and only has 2 bedrooms--one isn't even furnished. She has 4 living in a lot that doesn't even have a house. So a house is not needed to get people to move in with you, far less a huge one. So if you can't have 5 in one residence, you're probably just too low still. Keep leveling.

I don't think there should be a limit. At least not one so low. Many families have more than 2 or 3 kids. If the limit for people on a lot at once is 10 to keep game lag down, then I think families should cap at 10 as well.

Guest answered:

Then you don't have the vip, you need some vip points to have 6 Sims to live in your mansion
