When I ask a sim to do something blue footprints appear above it what does that mean?

It means something is blocking their way. Move some furnitures so that you have a clear path for everything.

It worked for me because I just put everything in its way in my inventory and then put it back when my sim did what was asked

It didn't work for me, i refurnished my hole house annd tried different ways but it still just came up with blue footprints obove the sims head.i also tried evry sim i had which took along time

It sometimes means that the Sim doesn't want to do what you are telling it to do because of it's Personality. Sime Sims don't like to read for example. Also certain personalities, like the mogul won't use low rated Objects even if they need to. You might have to buy a better toilet or shower!

I just had to baby's and it won't let me do anything for one of them it always shows blue footprints and there is nothing in the way

Omg I just had a baby too. I send the father or mother to feed, change diaper and the blue foot prints appear. Nothing is in the way

Your problem most likely is the crib is placed in a way where the Sim cant get to it and get the baby, tryrotating it or moving it to the middle of the room. I did that and it worked for me.

Try rotating your item or moving something that is blocking your sim from getting to the item

Try moving a object it could be blocking a Sims way or you need to turn that object round it worked for me

One of my sims is dancing around because she has to go to the bathroom but won't go when I tell her to. Talk about confusing.
