Clearing data on phone to play simpsons tapped out

Why is it that in order to play simpsons tapped out on my iphone 4s I have to clear up to 1gb on my phone for the application to work. Why is these and how can I get the application to work without having to delete so much data?

The reason for that is that Tapped Out uses a large number of swap files in addition to memory on your device - it keeps track of a lot of the database style information by creating and deleting temporary swap files on the fly.
