Duplicate Springfields on separate Origin accounts

Both my daughters play this game on a shared iPad on different Origin accounts. Since the last update both the mayhem numbers are the same and both Springfields are the same. On the account, whose Springfield has been copied over to the other account, there is also an issue with buying donuts or playing the golden scratchcard. The payment is taken but neither the donuts or the scratchcard appear. Is there any way of getting the other Springfield back ?
If we delete the app and then reinstall will we lose any progress ?

You need to log into the Origin Server and check to be sure that they actually ARE on different email / passwords.
