Okay I got my 400 snakes, and got the master whacker plaque, why when ..

I think it is when Lisa releases snakes from another Springfield

When you visit a friend's town it releases some of your snakes, you can re-collect them by tapping on them but some may come back as eggs. If you need to visit other towns make sure you get all the snakes roaming that town before you leave otherwise you will lose them completely.

It might be because Lisa has a task to release snakes from other towns? Other than that I can't think of anything

Pretty sure the license entitles you to whack only five snacks, maybe it deducts snake whacks because you go over the license and over the limit ? But I noticed I lost snakes at the start, could be the game just being glitchy.

On some of your friend visits, you hear a hissing sound. And on some visits you hear an extra “hiss” – the same hiss you hear when snakes are spawning in your own town. But in a friend’s town, it means that snakes are released from your inventory – and that all the snakes you see in your friend’s towns are all yours. If you have a Whacking License, you’re able to tap on them – and that’s in addition to the snakes you’re able to tap with your license. Although you may get some eggs back, you’ll get most of your snakes as well as the 5 or 10 you’re allowed to tap. Also, tap on them all in one visit and don’t go back in again, because if you lost them once in that town, you’re almost guaranteed to lose them again.

Same problem! Please help how am I supposed to collect snakes if they keep disappearing?

I was playing around with my game to figure out why I missed/lose snakes as well. I tried many things mentioned here and some others that cost me few snakes.

At the end I am almost 100% for the multiple tests done to verify it that despite I thought I was fooling the game by whacking snakes when coming back to towns before renew time (every 24 hours) in fact I am getting penalized. If such town has snakes in it, it will deduct me some (I think was the number of snakes in town), so if I try to whack them all won't recover them as some of them will become eggs to your inventory. If you come back before time renews and has no snakes regenerated you won't have change in your number of snakes

HOWEVER, don't do that because at the end won't really give you any gain of snakes. Wait (or add new people) to the renewal time to tap in your friends' towns and you will notice that INDEED you will have only 5 snakes to whack max (all my final test gave me that number) which is the number you are actually allowed with your license, then your houses, and leave some eggs to neighbours'

It sucks because you are GUARANTEED to lose snakes. If any eggs drop instead of snakes you will have fewer when you finish because your original whackings either give snakes or eggs. Getting an egg means you don't get a snake, even though they were still whacked. So you whack your own snakes and only get 2/3 of them added to your total (The other 1/3 eggs) and then you visit a town and get snakes released and AGAIN only get 2/3 back. It's a great way to get eggs but eggs won't help me win Prizes because my snake numbers keep going down. They really didn't think this through because I am visiting NO ONE right now for fear of losing more snakes.
