Question for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Why can't I add anyone? I put names into the add friends slot and yet it always fails, even when I know the names are right. Is there anything I can do?

I have added 3 friends to the game, now when I try to add more it tells me I have reached the allowed maximum??????

Please help

Um well sometimes that happens to me too when I was adding some of my friends it kept on failing and I thaught it was cause I had 14 friends but I know someone with more friends than me so I tried again the next day and it worked so basically just wait and retry again tomorrow
