I'm on level ten and cannot get the school yet. Why?

Because your Characters are not yet able to compete the quests that unlock that Building yet.

You level up as you gain XP. Which comes from buying Buildings and acessories, visiting neighbours and making Characters do tasks,or completeing quests. When you reach a new level you may find more Items like Decorations automatically unlock, however most are triggered by quests.

For example at the begining of the game homers task was to build the simpson house. This then unlocked lisa. Lisa then completes a few quests as done homer untill the task to build the quickymart is triggered.
The quests follow on one after the other although sometimes you may find 5 or more on the go at one time. It is these quests that will lead you to unlocking school not the level ups.

Sometimes you level up faster than the quests are going (particularly if like me you collect XP from visiting neighbours or buying decoractions.) this may mean that you reach level 15 but havent yet got the level 12Buildings. Dont worry they will be triggered soon enough. Its just a case of being patient or using dognuts to speed up quests. Im level 25 and still working to unlock level 18 buildings. Lol
