Put a river piece on one side of the road, then add another river piece on the other side of the road. It turns that section of road into a bridge automatically.
Sorry ill clarify, place a river piece and drag it over the road and to the other side on a grasspiece. You need a minimum 3 pieces of river, one piece on a grass spot before the road, one piece on the road and one piece on a grass spot after the road.
Build a area with water, and place a road over it. It will automatically turn into a bridge
I can't get a bridge on my river. Please add sarahdonald and look. I have made them before but not getting it to work anymore
To find the add river Tool:
Find the edit screen menu at the bottom of the screen four connected arrows pointing up/down/left/right.
That will take you to the part of your game where you can add from top to bottom on the left:
Roads
Pavement
Rivers
And Squidville Planks - once you have gotten to the place where you can place the Squidville Opening Gate. (It's a good idea to visit a few other Springfields before you accept the default opening position.
As others have noted. You have to add the river first. But they haven't mentioned that you are not limited to a single lane or straight line river. I've seen "rivers" that are ponds, small lakes, etc. Generally, if you at least surround it with roadway you will get bridgework on the side you've surrounded. Or, if you make a wide river then cross it with a road, the bridge will be that many bridge squares wide. Hope this was clear and easy to follow.
Add me when possible, I visit Neighbors almost every day and clear out dead weight regularly so If I can't accept your request today, I should soon. Regular players only please. I don't mind new players as long as you are a regular visitor who has at least 50-100 structures. (Enough to support 3 clicks from a good number of your daily players!)

The road must COVER part of the river
It is a good idea to add a river 2 spaces wide, then cover half the width with a road.
Hope this helps...
