Is Flint obtained from one of the stores/ houses and if so which one so that I can purchase ?

As far as I'm aware, if you didn't complete the quest in time, you cannot get the flints or light the torches. So that means you can't clear the fog and clear those sections of land, sorry. TPC say that they won't bring back old quests, but maybe if they get enough complaints/requests, they may come up with a solution if it involves releasing more land. Submit a ticket and see what happens.
