There isn't a quick way to earn coins other than waiting for your recruits' pays or investing money into completing goals. If or once you have the option to take classes and upgrade your recruits' income, definitely invest every cent you have into it. It is the best form of investment and took me from earning about $500 an hour to earning $5000 an hour in only 3 days real time. To do this, you need as many recruits as possible. Each new recruit has a higher income rate than the last (excluding the first few) so you will earn a lot more with each new girl. Get to about 5 or 6 recruits, focusing on investing your money into completing that as fast as possible, and then invest everything you have into taking classes.

Once you get to that stage of earning over $2500 an hour, completing goals becomes pointless and are only good for receiving gems or items of clothing that you can't buy. The fashion show challenges are also great at winning money however ONLY if you win. I recommend waiting until you get a decent income before investing money into expensive clothing.

As for your kitchen problem, I assume you mean that the entire room is placed on the wrong side of your land. If so, simply go into the re-model tab near the decor and clothing tabs. Once in there, there should be about 5 tabs on the left hand side. One of those will be remodel. Click on that one and there should be an option of "move rooms". Clicking on this will allow you to relocate all of your rooms as you would with any smaller object.
