As soon as the fireball covers your exit, go down, so you that you are under the key. Go to the wall on the left side and plant a bomb in which the wall will be destroyed and will lead you to the key.
Yeah, like in The Minnish Cap, placing bombs in suspicious places can get you to secret areas.
