We have got quite far through the game and it is now too difficult for my children. How do we start a new game from the start again?

Either click the name of the user in the game and sign in as a diffrent user. Or delet the game and download it again.
Just click on the player name button. Then, click on new player and enter the new player name. You will now start over, but you will not lose your progress on the last player.
