Question for Minecraft: Pocket Edition

I am told that the mine craft pocket edition can be loaded to my new imac now. When I try, it sends me to iTunes. Then it gives me a choice of iPhone or iPad to click on next. Which one do I need to click on? I am wanting the paid edition of the pocket.

Minecraft PE is for iOS devices, not MacOS devices. I do not believe it will run on an iMac.
