Get a nether reactor and some mushrooms will pop out of the floor while you are in there

Mushrooms don't always spawn into worlds. They see to be rare for me. If you really need some you can craft a nether reactor core which requires 3 diamonds and 3 iron ingots. Then you need a lot of gold (4 blocks) and cobblestone. Look up on youtube the correct pattern of placing these blocks. If you do it right, when you tap on the core you should be put in a dark room and things will start popping out of the floor. You will always get at least a few mushrooms and then you can grow more.
