Where do you find coal!!!I am trying to build a torch but I need coal but..

You can find coal underground while Mining with and you can mine it with any pickaxe. It'll be a stone block with black spots on it. You can also make an alternative coal if you can't find any coal. To do so burn raw wood (tree block) in a furnace yielding charcoal as you can use planks for fuel. Hoped this helped!

Sometimes you can find them on the side of cliffs but sometimes if you can't find any in/on cliffs or there aren't any in your world, then you should start Mining I also know that a lot of the time if you dig out a big square around where you found the coal, you'll find iron, and sometimes (but rarely) you can find some gold (not that it's worth anything giving that it breaks like ten seconds after you start mining no matter what you use)

Just start by Mining, build a staircase maybe, 20 blocks down, and then strip mine, by digging straight 2-block-tall tunnels until you find torches.

You can hind in a cave but if you don't have a cave you can dig down and to be honest it's not that hard to find
