You need to make the nether reactor and it's structure, and then tap the reactor. Once the reactor is tapped, it will generate a netherrack structure and spawn mobs. Random loot will drop from the ceiling and there will likely be melon and pumpkin seeds.

In Minecraft PE you need redstone torches to blow up TNT or flint and steel.

YOU can find them in the nether world. When you find them make a area for them. After you found an area. Put cobblestone around the outside of you area. Then you get a hoe any hoe. Then you put water down the middle of the ground. Then you hoe the ground. After you hoe your area. You get your melon seeds. Wait a while. When they tern brown they are ready. But still don't brack the plant because more melon will grow back.

If you want to find melons in survival just use the nether reactor (which need 4 gold blocks and 16 cobblestone),
That is the only way to find melon seeds. If you don't have enough diamonds, gold and iron on hand,
You could just get it in creative.
