How do you get iron?

You need to make a stone pickax. Not wood.

You first need to find the right kind of stone to make a stone axe then dig for iron

Slightly beneath the ground you need a good pickaxe to mine successfully

I want to know where you can find iron not iron ore white iron!

Go to the edge of the Earth and dig down. After a little bit of digging (20-30 blocks) make a big area around yourself and you normally find a bunch of major ores.

If you want to make a furnace you need to find regular stone, for example in a mountain. Then you get a pick axe, a wooden one will do fine.you mine the regular stone and it will give you cobblestone. Collect the cobblestone. You will need 8 blocks. Now go to your Crafting table and create your furnace!

You need to go to the edge of earth and dig down really deep. Be careful getting out of your hole, though.

Go to the edge of the map. Go all the way down to the bottom of the map till you get to obsidian (the black, white and gray block that you can't mine) and build 3 blocks up and dig all around. U can usually find ore.

To get iron you need a stone pick axe.Keep on Mining until you find iron ores.Mine the iron ores.Smelt them and you'll get iron ingots.Inyour Crafting tavle you can make iron blocks with them or armor.I hope that helped you

I agree with you guys on both things. All I found was cobblestone( I just turned that into regular stone ) and you have to dig about 10 blocks deep. Remember to dig side to side and diagonal too because it might not always be in front of you.
I have only found it once on creative mode.

I think you have to get a stone pick axe and you have to dig 6 blocks down,then dig around there

And also you need to dig down until your on stone and dig around 7 blocks deep
Then mine around where the hole you dug

Iron ore is what you need
Then you melt it down then you have a iron ingot

I have no idea I can't find it either but I found diamonds 5 min after I started Mining

There is no sure fire way to get anything, things TEND to spawn in certain places. I've found diamond ten blocks below sea level! The rare ores tend to be further down and the more commun ores closer to the surface. NOT ALWAYS!!!

Strip-mine in a spot, near the edge of the map, from 6-40 blocks down, do it in different spots.

You can optimize the ratio of effort-outcome by digging tunnels big enough for you to get through, each two blocks apart. Strip-mine the whole map if you want!!!

Maybe you should just try to mine,it takes a while but you'll eventually find some
