Animals no matter what kind do respawn. I tried it myself I ran around killing all animals cause I got angry at one for pushing me off a mountian but when I returned a cow and 2sheeps spawned and I've seen a chicken spawn. Any animals respawn on grass of I think 14 light level. Over all they do respawn.
This one time I killed of all the Animals around me since they got annoying but when I didn't see them anymore for about 20 in-game days, I went to other biomes and a whole bunch of sheep and pigs were everywhere so my guess is that they don't spawn around the biome you stay in for a while.
Animals don't respawn if you kill them, but I do know they spawn when there is a big patch of grass everywhere (like 6 by 6 I think). I know this because I found pigs chickens cows everywhere in that specific area. I say try making a huge area of grass left there and wait for it to spawn. Trust me a bit, it could work and it is for the pocket edition if you think I was talking about the computer version.
On PE for minecraft I don't think passive Mobs spawn after the world is created because once I killed all the Animals in my world and after like 10 days there were still no passive mobs
I'm they do respearn coz I play minecraft lots and I just run around killing Animals and then they are back later so yeah they do respwarn . I'm sorry if the start don't make sence I have a correcting thing on this so yeah anyway good luck
My Animals always spawn in the water. There almost never on land and it's extremely annoying!
I'm not sure if they respon or not. I just want a piggy in my house
Yes because I made an animal pen and they will stay in there instill I need supplies. After I kill them they come back to where I found them.
I heard that you can spawn one animal. If there is a good amount of trees in the area, then put torches around a little area to make some sort of box, and the animal should spawn there. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS ALWAYS WORKS OR NOT AT ALL.
Breed them
I find that there are only ever the same amount of Animals in the world at any time. I have built a zoo on survival with 10 animals but now no more animals appear. So I killed half of the animals and they were replaced and new animals began spawning but no more than the amount I killed.
I'm looking for the answer to this same question because I have a farm of 6 sheep, 1 pig and 2 chickens. And no more pigs than that 1 have, have spawned. Also, there were 2 cows in my world that I killed and they haven't respawned and it's been a really long time. I only have chicken and sheep in my world. I want pigs and cows in my farm :(
I have made a farm, and my suggestion is too spawn trees, flowers, and mushrooms.then surround with a fence, and stay far away from render distance so they can spawn. Though I had collected all the Animals in my render distance, I noticed after a couple weeks, a lot of sheep and chicken (including babies) had spawned near my farm. And yes, animals do respawn once killed. I tried it once, hope this answer helps!
Yes, they respawn. I made a big pen in water and filled it with wheat while it was surrounded by at leat 4 trees on each corner. I had to wait awhile, but soon enough I went for a walk and Animals were every where. They did not spawn in my pen which made me disapointed but it worked!
I am going to try many of these ideas, but I found a very good idea on the Minecraft Wiki, which I think is very accurate and professional,so far.It says the following: "As the world is not infinite (not unlimited world area) , an interesting new game mechanic called "animal spawn control" can be used. This includes removing or covering all dirt blocks on the surface of the world (and therefore the grass blocks) except in a small area to control where Animals spawn. It will also increase their spawn rate.".So yeah,I am going to try cover all grass, except for a little closed down area,I will put trees, wheat, water and mushrooms to see if it works.I will say the effect of it after a few day with the actual thing already done.

Well on my world I have ran out of Animals and. They haven't respawned yet so I'm going to say that they do not respawn
You can spawn chickens by throwing a lot of eggs in one place.
There is a certain number of Animals that can spawn in a minecraft pocket edition world. (Let's say it is 30) If you kill an animal (and there was already the maximum amount in your world) another one will spawn to take it's place. And with the edition of eggs, if there are already 30 then another mob will despawn to make space for the chicken. So if you have any rare Mobs (pink sheep, whatever) watch out!
Throw chicken eggs to spawn chickens. Environment must look natural for other Animals to spawn
I know that every 20 seconds, there is a animal
Spawning cycle, and there is a animal cap
Of 10 Animals per map, but they won't
Spawn next to you, it has to be 24-144 blocks
Away from the player, so there is a chance
Every 20 seconds, a animal could
Spawn far away from you.
Kill an animal and another one going to take place try it
I don't know, I usually get maps that respawn Animals all the time, but every now and then I'll get a map where none seem to respawn at all. Maybe it's a glitch?
I have a wolf seed on mcpe but whenever I but it down it wont spawn the wolf. WHAT DO I DO!!!!!
I found the interesting comment earlier about a limited number of Animals ... Once you have too many no animals auto-spawn.
I have a farm with about 10 sheep; 8 cows; and over 100 chickens. I captured only the first two of each, now I breed them or hatch chickens from the eggs I collect. I've wandered all over my world (survival) and no longer see any Animals outside my farm. I can continue to "hatch" or breed, but nothing spawns.
They havent added wolves but they most likely will in 0.9.0 which will come out in march sometime.
Well I have the same problem because no Animals spawn except sheep now so I guess next time remember to leave two animals alive so you can breed
Animals do spawn after world creation. You can make about a seven by seven sized pit then wait for grass to grow. After that put lots of torches and animals will start to spawn after a time. Sincemcpe worlds are so small the game is always trying to find the best place for Mobs to spawn.someplace that fits their needs. That's why you can make that very bright pit and animals will spawn. You can do the same thing for Monsters, except cover the pit instead. However, when you kill a friendly mob it does not simply respawn. I know there was some confusion on that bit.
Try making a world on creative, spawn a lot of Animals and switch the world to survival mode with PocketInvEditor.
U don't spawn a wolf egg look for a snow or spruce wood biome and there will be wolves
