I assume is is referring to the first time you run into the monster. Jump onto the platform and wait until you see a small blue circle appear (different from the marker to use a spell, this will show up in the tomb itself). As soon as you know which hole he is coming from cast your spell. This causes him to become disoriented. When this happens run of the platform and start hitting him with your stunning spell. As soon as he starts to regain himself jump back onto the platform. If your not fast enough and the 4 snakes appear you must kill them before he will come out again. Keep repeating this until he destroyed the wall and you can advance. Anytime he is blocking you you can hit him with the stunning spell.
