Buy hp potion. Study attack pattern. Weakest side of enemy is side of face. When it is attacking in the middle or isn't attacking, that is the best time for you to attack. Try to keep a 2 hit combo pattern. The third hit slows you down in movement and slows reaction time when the Beholder attacks you.

you're correct I did it too and that is why I killed him (Pretty Hard Boss)
