Spot sniper in sniper dual

How do you spot the other sniper in the sniper dual competition ???

You have to pay attention to the blue bars as you pear through the scope. The further they fill up the closer you are to on target. Alternately, in themo mode ( only some maps) the other player looks bright orange.
It is easiest for me to scan at a low magnification until I have a general idea of the target area and then hone in and take the shot.
Also, there are a limited number of spawn points for each map, so you can memorize them and further direct your scanning.
