Question for Grand Theft Auto 3

How do I get pass the tanks on the S.A.M mission? I have shot down the plane and collected all the packages but as soon as I get near the construction site the tanks get me

The easiest thing to do is to go to the pay n spray which is behind the parking garage. That mission took me a while to shoot the plane down because I would get to the buoy real fast but after I collected all the packages and did shoot it down I beat it on my first try bu getting to the pay n spray

Hi'
After shooting the plane down, try NOT to shoot the police choppers down. Just sniper the bad guys by the pickup truck at the top of the ramp, get in their car, pick up the gear, at this point, it's cop cars and swat vans. Just drive out of the airport, as you exit the airport, there is a bribe, on a central reservation, get that. Now, it's only cop cars. Now, just race to the pay and spray.
