Question for Grand Theft Auto 3

How do you do drive-bys on GTA 3 on the iPad? I get in the car but I can't shoot a gun out the window

So when your in the car you need to have machine gun. And on the left where the controls are there are 2 buttons and it has a bullet with sparks. There next to each other. Press one of it left or right and if you press the righ on it will do the drive by on the righ and for the left press it and it will do a drive by on the left
