Is it possible to sell floor and wall tiles? If so, how can you?

You can not sell floor tiles or wall tiles ..

No you cannot the only way you can get ride of them is buying a diffrent color and putting it on

I think that it would be nice to do that. I purchased pink walls with my gems and then switched my color......it sucks like 30 gems worth

If you choose the build a room option and click on a room you can sell the room and place contents in inventory. When you sell the room you get the money for your wallpaper. You cannot do it on a floor that has a floor above it though.

I really wish you could because I spent my gems like 29 of them for pink walls then switched em up.. It sucks

Don't the replaced wall/floor tiles go into the inventory? (When you go to put down things in the 'design' part there's a tiny number in the bottom right corner that shows how many you already bought and can place again for no charge.) I don't think you can sell them for gems back though...
