How do I transfer my player with a red card from subs to playing

Ok so red card players, are players who can't and willnot play the rest of that game or the next. They can play in tournaments, but in a regular game a red card means DQ from that game and the following. It's like a punish ment.
If you sell a player and then by in free player option the player will not have a card any more and will be able to play the next game
