I need to get a lot of runes quickly without paying anything or

I want to buy a limited dragon for 500 runes but I only have 300 and it expires in 23h. So that us why I need it fast.

I know I'm probably late, but to answer your question, destroying rocks, which costs wood, will reward you with runes. I currently have 100 runes, but all I do is make Toothless go on 1-5 minute searches. Try not to spend any runes for the searches, though. Also, every so hours you get that free pack of cards. Usually that comes with 15-40 runes. I hope that helps!
