How or when do I get the water dragon egg in this game?

I thought it is by attacking lvl 6+ lakes

Getting a Water Dragon Egg

The Water dragon egg is obtained either by purchasing it with gems or by collecting Water Dragon crests and converting them into an egg. Once you you have you Great Dragon armored and capable of attacking, you can start attacking level 6 and higher lakes in hopes of getting water dragon crests as a random drop. You must already occupy your maximum number of wilds: if your attack occupies the wild, you won't get a random drop. Each attack must be accompanied by your Great Dragon. The great dragon must heal before you an attack again, so this can take a long time, as you need 100 crests, and not every attack will drop a crest. There is hope, as some drops include more than one crest (I have gotten as many as six in one drop), but most of the time it is one crest or no drop. There is a rumor that higher level camps have a higher level drop probability and that attacking the same camp more often lowers it's drop probability. It might be, but I cannot substantiate either of these rumors.

After I got halfway on my hunt for Water Dragon crests, I started keeping track of my attacks. I recorded which lake I attacked, when, and the result with a running total. Do you think others would be interested in this info: to set expectations and give hope? If so please send it on to the rest of the alliance.
