Question for Dracula Resurrection

I can't get through the library door. It says it's locked. I'm on an iPad. How do I unlock it?

Activate the chandelier from the room on the library balcony, and then go back into the main hall area and simply go forward over the now raised chandelier and back down the spiral stair case to Dorko and talk to her about the red crystal ball you have from Dracula's bedroom. Go back and this door that was lock will now be opened.
This will get you out of trouble.

Does not work, the door is still locked.
