How do you remove the green cookie cutter in the middle of Level 189

I have been lucky so far on the cookie cutters but I really don't know what you need to do to remove them. I have been stuck on Level 189 and can clear all the squares needed over and over except for the middle one that has the green cookie cutter. What are the instructions for removing cookie cutters? Thank you.

I used the wooden spoon to remove the one above it and a green shape dropped on top of it and the cutter disappeared,

Thank you. I've found the same problem. I think it's unfair.
