What tree gives the most living wood?

Need more living wood for quest.

You can get living wood from sawmills - it drops them often. Sometimes Ivy's house drops them too, or you can gather wood and white petals (from white flowers) and craft the living wood yourself in your potion shop. I don't know what trees give the most living wood, either. I would like to know too.

I am trying various trees, you will get an average of 1-2 per each tree you chop
