Question for Bakery Story

Does my Bakery Story account have to be linked with my Bakery Story: Summer Picnic account? I downloaded both games in the hopes of having two separate bakeries to work on, but, to my dismay, when I opened Bakery Story (I played Summer Picnic for a while first) it showed me the exact same bakery I was working on in Summer Picnic.

Is this supposed to happen? It doesn't seem well thought-out to me, considering Team Lava would probably profit more from people buying gems for more than one bakery, and it also seems an utter waste because they have two games out when really only one of them is needed to play.

It is supposed to be that way. The reason for it is that versions like the Summer Picnic one usually have something like recipes or decorations that can only be found there.
