When you go to the store to buy an appliance, such as the easy oven, you'll see a hammer in the item box. The hammer means it needs parts. After you buy the easy oven you'll get a box instead of the oven, then you have to ask your friends/neighbors in the game, for parts. Tap on the box to use the parts, it will show you how many parts you have and how many you still need.
