How do you use non food gift items I'm trying to build something I have been sent loads of parts but can't use them

When you want to use an easy oven or an icecream maker etc, you have to use those things to build it.
To buy a new oven you have to touch the 'design' button in the lower right at your bakery. And choose the oven picture, then you will see that some of them have a little hammer, that means you have to have tools to built it.

That doesn't answer the question. S/he said they already have and are trying to build the item, but asked how to use the gifts to do this. I'd love the answer. Trying to build my ice cream maker, but when I click "use gift" it takes me to the My Gift page and it's blank.

When you receive a gift, it automatically takes the count of how many parts you have..... So you can build it when you have all the parts........ There shouldn't be any "use gift" required.
I'm with you! I have requested parts, & they've been sent to me. I also always honor others' requests for parts. Bakery story, resturaunt story, pet shop story, it's the same bull- I have Tons of parts & pieces ( at least 15-18 Each) & Can't access & use them! "Constructable part, not food" No Kidding?! I see the hammers, yes need tools-8've Got them! Won't budge & Stays in gifts; Annoying! And what's with some of the requirements to advance in the game, too? I have reached level 32 in jewel mania, & should have credits for it-- but it shows 0%!

You need to go to Main-Messages-News- and then press the accept button to get parts from other friends. You can't receive it from the gifts it's in a different section which is weird but ohh well that's how !

I'd like to know too. Above comment: I did that, but it said that my friend had responded to my request or something. TEAMLAVA, FIX THIS! Guest answered:
Try this.. Above the parts you need- it will say wire 1/5 meaning you need to ask 4 more friends for the part. When you have all the parts .. The build button should light up.

I totally agree I don't know how to use a tool. Every time I click on it, it says it can't be served. I don't want it to be servedGuest answered:
You can't click "use gift" as you don't have the required number of parts. Once you've got 10/10 for example of bricks and 10/10 for mortar then when you click on manage of your oven it will be poss to build. Til then, keep asking friends to send you them

Basically, when you're building an item that needs parts your friends and neighbours are sent a request, if and when they reply and send you the item, you can then finish building the item, hope this helps.

You can go to your neighbor's wall and write a message asking them for parts. Or when you're building an something that requires parts when you click on the box there should be an option to asks friends for parts. Add me: calfoo333Guest answered:

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!! So I had the same problem I had the gifts just when I clicked it said like not a food cannot be placed or something like that. But let's say you have a bread oven (random) and you have 3/10 in mortar and 0/10 in bricks. So click on the ask friends button. And ask ten people for either mortar or brick so here's the trick you want to collect more than you need. Then wait for the gifts to be sent and it automatically goes to you're oven If You have enough of the brick or mortar

Invite more neighbors. I 'gathered' mine by going to other people in the community and looking at their wall and writing down the people's stormID name then going back to mine and inviting that person. I built up to 50 or so friends that way.
