How do you unlock tracks on free race? Is it possible?

You have to finish the whole game to do it. If in career you had not race the track, it may be unlocked.
Yes that was not the answer all all. I have completed the whole game also and have only 3 free race tracks to choose from.
I have 12 unlocked tracks
Maybe it has something to do with the stars, I finished 100% in career mode with 223 stars.
Mope I finished career mode with 254 stars and still only 3 tracks are unlocked on free race
