Question for 9 Innings: Pro Baseball 2011

What is the difference between the number on the front of the card, the Hero/Rare etc. Status of the card, and the numbers on the back of the card for power and other sorts? I am basing all my players off the numbers on the back. Some Gold cards have low numbers, and some Rare cards have high numbers. What should I look for the most when adding a card to my lineup?

The Hero/Special/Rare etc of a card just shows how good that card is compared to the normal version of that card. On the front, it shows a number, 12, 16, 38, etc. This shows how many additional stat points were added to the most basic NORMAL card version of that card. So if you find some platinum cards suck compared to rare cards, it means that the NORMAL version of those cards sucked uberly, whereas, the NORMAL version of the RARE cards were pretty good. I've been playing the game for a week and still don't have any Good for Something Platinums. I do have a bunch of reliable Heroes and a whole lot of Nice Rare and Normal cards.
Also, you might wanna check the HELP section in-game. It'll answer every question.
