I am basing all my players off the numbers on the back. Some Gold cards have low numbers, and some Rare cards have high numbers. The Hero/Special/Rare etc of a card just shows how good that card is compared to the normal version of that card. On the front, it shows a number, 12, 16, 38, etc. This shows how many additional stat points were added to the most basic NORMAL card version of that card. So if you find some platinum cards suck compared to rare cards, it means that the NORMAL version of those cards sucked uberly, whereas, the NORMAL version of the RARE cards were pretty good. I've been playing the game for a week and still don't have any Good for Something Platinums. I do have a bunch of reliable Heroes and a whole lot of Nice Rare and Normal cards.
