Experiment with the special attacks by mixing and matching them until you devised a hard-hitting one that is effective at taking down the enemy.

The purple meter that is situated on the bottom right of the screen shows the special attacks and the amount you need to fill the meter for each of them before you can use it. Each of the special attacks has it's own uses and it's own area of damage.

Collecting medals will enable you to increase the number of crew you have aboard your ship. You can get medals either from the purchasable chests or by defeating the last round of a series of battles. Each crew member you have onboard your ship will add their small arms volley to your attack and grant a special attack.

Always make your top priority when targeting enemy vessels their cannon or primary weapon as draining it's health will mean the amount of damage dealt to you will significantly decrease.

'Flooz' is the premium currency in the game and you can get it either by collecting it randomly or paying real money for it, either way make sure you conserve it and use it wisely.

To find rare the resources you need you will either have to open the chests which you can buy with the premium 'Flooz' currency or earn it with victories against enemies.

An important resource is wood as it is needed to upgrade your ship. To get wood you can either defeat enemies or open chests that you find floating in the oceans.

You will need gold to upgrade your ship and to buy buildings for your home island. To earn gold you can either defeat enemies or sell fruit from your island in Marketopia.

A good tactic is to save your special attacks for when you have taken out an enemy's sails or nose causing their hull to crack momentarily because attacking them when this happens will cause a ton of damage.

Add the Wood Nose and the Square Sail to your ship as soon as you can as doing so will enable you to soak up more damage. The Wood Nose will protect your canon from frontal damage and the Square Sail will protect your hull.
