A good tactic to save ammunition is to throw a gas canister in the vincinity of a pair of enemies and then shoot it once to take them both out.

Shoot the explosives that are scattered throughout the levels so they explode and wipe out any enemies that are in close proximity.

Don't waste credits on grenades, you are better of using them to upgrade your guns.

The best tactic when you need to reload your weapon is to hit the 'Reload' button after you have killed an enemy so your soldier is immediately pulled back down into cover where you can then pan your aiming reticule around to find a new target to eliminate.

Snipers will target you with their red laser sights and hit you even if you are behind cover. The only way you can avoid being hit by a sniper is to take them down before they can fire, so whenever you spot a sniper make tracing the red beam back to it's source and eliminating it your priority.

At the start of the game you will find that the weapons are unoptimized so it is advised that you spend your credits increasing the important stats like accuracy instead of spending them on cosmetic upgrades like paint jobs and stickers.

Take advantage of the 'Sensitivity' option in the 'Options' menu (accessed by hitting the pause button in the upper-left corner) that allows you to toggle how sensitive the controls respond to your gestures. You will find being able to quickly pan from left to right in a 180-degree window crucial.
