Create a wooden door an one compact stone staircase(placed anywhere). Not stone slab! Stand on top of the staircase with door in hand. Look down. Click TOP of staircase as if you where to place this door on top of it. The door will not place, but will pop into two doors; one to replace the old one, and one to take a new slot in your inventory. This will not run down (so I know so far) stock up till next update!
