Midnight Star iPhone/iPad Cheats and Tips

When you 3 star a level on the regular campaign difficulty you will unlock the Hardcore and Psychotic difficulties.

Red '+' indicators will appear next to the normal indicator buttons whenever there are health shards on the ground nearby.

Red crystals will drop health shards which can be collected by tapping it.

When you shoot Blue Crystals they will explode into element shards which you can collect.

Although you may think you are wasting your time you will actually get a higher score when you pinch to target characters.

Remember that the closer the projectiles are to the center of the shield the less energy the guage will lose when it absorbs it.

You can make your shield active by holding two fingers on the screen, make sure you keep an eye on the energy guage which refills over time and becomes weakened whenever it absorbs a projectile.

It is important that you keep an eye on the enemy indicator as it tells you their status. If the indicator turns blue there is an enemy present, when the indicator turns yellow the enemy is preparing to attack and it when it turns red the enemy is attacking.

You will find that you can save time by reloading manually instead of auto reloading, an indicator at the top right, along with a warning at the top of the screen will inform you that it is time to change your clips.
