You can gain the advantage in battle when enemies initiate a grapple with Superman by quickly tapping the two circles on the screen.

Use combos by swiping multiple times to hit the enemy and break their guard so you can then smash them into buildings and vehicles.

Quickly press either the left or right dodge buttons situated at the bottom of the screen whenever an enemy pulls back to strike or his head glows red otherwise you will find yourself on the receiving end of a potentially devestating attack.

It is important that you use XP earned from battles to upgrade Superman's abilities otherwise you will find it next to impossible to defeat the tougher enemies you will meet as you progress through the game.

Study your enemies body language as it will give you a clue as to what their next attack will be.
