Maleficent Free Fall Cheats and Tips

Either match tiles as quickly as possible to turn them yellow and eliminate them or free all the caged pieces. Any turns you have remaining will transform into magic puzzle pieces and help eliminate columns and rows and will add to your overall score.

Free Fall mode will begin at the end of a level if you managed to complete the challenge with at least a one-star rank. Try to save some power-ups for Free Fall mode because points will be multiplied and ALL of your power-ups will be automatically used.

When you use a power-up a portion of your magic will be used but this can be replenished by completing levels (+1 magic for a one-star rank, +3 magic for a two-star rank, or +6 magic for a three-star rank) and making matches.

A 'cracked gem' will appear when you match 5 gems and when it is then matched with at least two gems of the same colour will explode. When the cracked gem explodes there is the possibility it will set off a chain reaction.

You can always build up your magic by replaying previously completed levels. You will be rewarded 6 magic points when you earn 3 stars on a level and 3 magic points when you earn 2 stars, when you earn one star you will be rewarded with 1 magic point.

The most effective method for solving the puzzles in each of the levels is to start at the bottom and work your way up to the top. You will find this strategy particularly effective in levels where you must light up all the squares. Doing it this way will also increase your chance of getting combos.

The most difficult area to light up is the sides so look to make matches there whenever possible.

When you create a 'L' or 'T' shaped combo you will activate additional special powers which you can then use to help get you through the various levels.

Raven:

Select any tile to break it up.

Yellow Magic:

Gives 5 extra moves.

Wing Wind:

Powerful wind that breaks random tiles. This power-up is particularly useful on levels that feature a lot of chained gems.

You can give yourself unlimited lives by advancing the time on your device so you replenish your hearts any time you lose a life.

You can examine a 'Free Fall' gem's light to determine how it will change the level. If the light slides horizontally it will eliminate a row of gems. If the light slides vertically it indicates that it will eliminate a column of gems.

When you connect 4 or more same gems of the same colour on your board one leftover 'Free Fall' gem will glow with a circle around it and based on where you connect it with other pieces will clear either a row or column.
