The power-ups only last for a certain amount of time so if you have had one for a while don't take risks as the chances are it will not last much longer.
Make sure you keep an eye out for the sharks so you are not taken by surprise when they come up from underneath.
Don't forget that you are able to move while you are in the air, you will find this ability useful when the arrows start flying.
