The 'Damage Reduction' Stat helps lower the amount of damage done to a party member.

When you have a high 'Initiative' stat it indicates that you will have a much better chance of getting the 1st strike in battle.

The 'Critical' stat indicates the random possibility of your character dealing out more damage to an enemy.

The 'Threat' stat determines whether you will win or lose when you battle monsters. The higher the 'Threat' stat the more likely you are of being defeated.

When you begin the game ALL your characters start at Level 1, if you play the side-quests you will be able to upgrade them.

Make sure you experiment with party members to get the best balance possible. Although there are nine classes you can unlock your party can only have five characters.

If you search your surroundings you will be able to fill your party's inventory with items such as rings of ultimate might, collars of agitation, three-handed swords etc.

The best loot in this game is either built following recipes using materials found in your environment or won as quest rewards.
