If you hold your finger down on an empty space you will be able to refill it with soft dirt. Use this to your advantage by building bottlenecks to conatin enemies.

Make sure you upgrade mines and quarries whenever possible as you will not be able to do much in the game if you do not have stone and gold.

Look at your Imp forces at the 'Imp' menu bar and drag your finger across your imps to give them a slap, doing this will speed up their production for about half an hour.

At the start of the game go to the fringes of your dungeon and reclaim the quarries and gold mines that are there so you can begin setting up your defenses.
