Tutorial

There is no downside to equipping the Junior Woodchuck outfit which you buy during the Tutorial.

Costumes

Apart from the Junior Woodchuck outfit costumes have a big impact on abilities so it is worth using your Gold early on to unlock one.

Upgrade

During the early stages of the game there is not much point upgrading weapons as they are all pretty much similar. Try to gain levels instead to unlock new character clases and then return to see what equipment is available for them and compare it to the default equipment.

Online Play

Play the Single-Player Missions mode if you are struggling with online play. Although the Gold and Experience you earn is small to begin with the totals will increase dramatically when you start to complete goals.
